Patient Information

SCEDThe Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry (SCED) is one of Europe's largest private centres for dentistry, implantology and facial rejuvenation.  The name was approved by the General Dental Council "since it clearly indicates the nature of the services to be provided". The centre was previously known as Niddrie Square Clinic.  Due to our continued growth, we have now relocated to our new purpose built centre close to the Glasgow Science Centre on the south side of the River Clyde.

At SCED, our aim is to provide all of our patients with the highest standards of care possible.  We will take time to listen to your problems and concerns and provide you with treatment options, along with fees for treatment.

All of our dentists and doctors have undertaken extensive postgraduate training and many are on a Specialist List of the General Dental Council or the General Medical Council.

We provide advice and treatment in the following areas:

  1. Aesthetic dentistry
  2. Dental implants to replace missing teeth and dentures
  3. Endodontics (assessment and treatment of root canal problems)
  4. Periodontics (assessment and treatment of gum disease)
  5. Oral and facial surgery
  6. Orthodontics
  7. Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges and dentures)
  8. Hypnotherapy

We also have a facial aesthetic nurse who carries out Botox, dermal fillers and chemical peels, also known as non-surgical facial treatments.

With Consultant Anaesthetists as part of out team, we can provide treatment under sedation when required.

Most of our patients are referred to us by their Dentists.  If you are under the care of a dentist, please ask to be referred to us.
