As you know this entire thing began with a discolouration in my upper gum and my own dentist explaining that things would be fine for years and that I really didn’t need to do anything in the short term. I was proactive in that I insisted on getting a second opinion and after my first consultation with you, realised that there was indeed major work required.
You explained how important it was to have this work carried out right away and that is not only involved an implant, but also a bone graft from my lower jaw. Almost a year has passed and all work has now been completed. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for the quality of work you carried out. Your skill, professionalism, friendliness and care, of both you and your staff has been excellent. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and will always be grateful you were able to take me as a patient.

I know I told you at my final review appointment how delighted I was with the precision plates you made for me but I feel I should write and put on record my thanks for all your excellent work. If I may be allowed to mix my metaphors – they fit like a glove! My old dentures “floated around my mouth” and eating was hazardous and, bluntly, could be embarrassing at times. You have restored order in place of chaos and given me back the enjoyment of mealtimes. Yes the plates we expensive but worth every penny – and coming from a Scotsman that is praise indeed!
No Doubt we will be in touch from time to time but may I just add a further “thank you” to the others in your team who in their own way contributes significantly to this successful outcome. Please pass this on.

After some unfortunate experiences during my childhood, I have basically avoided all dentists’ practices as much as possible. Only once during my adult life such a visit became absolutely inevitable. On that occasion I got a new label: I learned that I was a “fear patient.” The dentist who treated me was a specialist in such patients. I survived my visits with somewhat increased confidence, but when my then-dentist died, my new courage melted like snow in the sun, and I resumed my old avoiding habits.
It is against this background that once again I found I couldn’t avoid another visit when previous repairs failed and I risked ending up largely toothless. You welcomed me with tact and kindness, you discussed and explained my options, and you reassured me and carried out all necessary treatment with professional competence and without fuss. My fears proved ill-founded. Thank you for restoring my confidence.
May I also commend your staff, ever friendly and purposeful. I have been impressed with the atmosphere of calm competence which pervades the clinic.
Just a short note to thank you so much for “fixing” my teeth. As you know I was petrified of having any dental treatment. Your approach and handling of my fear was truly appreciated and I would even go so far as to say that I am now cured of my “dental-phobia!”
As for the dental treatment, the straightening and whitening has left me with a great smile that has attracted more than a few comments. The great thing is that the natural appearance has been enhanced whilst retaining the character of my own teeth. I would like to thank the Niddrie Square Clinic for their terrific help and assistance in restoring my confidence and my smile! The treatment I received from everyone at the Clinic was second to none and I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed from beginning to end. I could not have gone to a better dental centre and I am delighted with the final result. Information was always forthcoming about all the procedures, and the assistants were very helpful, attentive and professional. Mr. Ali was extremely thorough, charming and instructive, explaining every step and action. Due to a combination of unfortunate circumstances, while being treated on the NHS, I developed periodontal gum disease. By the time I attended the Niddrie Street Clinic, this was acute and advanced. My teeth had become loose and moved. This caused gaps to form between them. The result was irregular and unsightly teeth, both top and bottom and the phrase ‘row of condemned houses’ readily sprang to mind.
Family and close friends were commenting. I was embarrassed about my teeth and for the first time in my life, I became reluctant to smile.
After initial consultation with Mr. Ali, I received preventative and periodontal treatment from the dental hygienist, Stephanie. I have received similar treatment before but can honestly say that this was by far the least painful of such procedures I have ever had.
Mr. Ali then carried out the restorative work on my teeth. He put composite resin restorations on the upper and lower teeth to close the gaps. He put a veneer on one top tooth. He splinted the teeth, top and bottom, to reduce further movement in the future
The results are astonishing. I am delighted and so are all my family and friends.
Mr. Ali leads, by example, a charming and highly professional team. I have no hesitation in recommending the Niddrie Street Clinic to anyone seeking excellent and sympathetic dental treatment.
As for Mr. Ali himself, I think he is a most highly skilled person and he certainly worked wonders in my case.
