Anaesthetists

Dr Robin Duckworth,MB ChB (Glasgow), FFARCS (London)

Robin Duckworth qualified in Medicine from the University of Glasgow in 1978.  He undertook specialist training in anaesthesia in Liverpool and was appointed to a Consultant post in Anaesthetics in Glasgow. This was initially a split appointment between the Institute of Neurological Sciences and the Western Infirmary/Gartnavel/Queen Mother Maternity Hospitals. Subsequently, between 1996 – 1999, he moved to become a specialist Neuroanaesthetist at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Southern General Hospital NHS Trust, with a particular interest in paediatric neuroanaesthesia.

As his Private Practice has become busier, in 1999, he made the decision to leave the National Health Service. This has allowed him to provide what is presently a unique service within the West of Scotland. Working exclusively in the Private sector has allowed him to expand my practice into many surgical disciplines. He now has a vast experience to offer in anaesthesia and sedation techniques within most specialties, including dental sedation.
