Dr Kaila Girvan graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012. Following graduation, she completed foundation training before undertaking three years of hospital-based core surgical training, including a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time, she gained experience managing complex surgical cases involving trauma, oncology, dentoalveolar surgery and the care of medically compromised patients across Scotland.

Since returning to specialist practice in 2016, Kaila has focused exclusively on oral surgery, accepting referrals for complex tooth extractions, impacted wisdom teeth, surgical extractions and bone augmentation procedures. She is accredited in conscious sedation and has a particular interest in helping anxious patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment.

Kaila is also qualified in CBCT scan interpretation and is passionate about education, regularly lecturing, mentoring colleagues and teaching postgraduate dental professionals.

Outside of dentistry, Kaila enjoys spending time with her family, keeping active and travelling.
