Arshad established Scottish Centre of Excellence for Dentistry in 2009. It is one of the Leading Dental Centers of the World and was also recognised as The Best Specialist Referral Practice in the United Kingdom in 2010. He qualified with commendation at the University of Glasgow in 1978 and carried out ten years of postgraduate training in Glasgow, Cardiff, London and Sweden.

Graduate of the Glasgow Dental School. Membership  of the faculty of dental surgery in Edinburgh, Scotland. Masters degree at Glasgow University, Scotland. Diploma in Implant dentistry from Edinburgh Royal college.  

Abid limits his practice to implants and the management of complex restorative cases with a special focus on immediate loading - having placed in excess of 5000 implants. 

He utilises digital dentistry, implants and smile design for the management of complex restorative cases. He is the immediate past president of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI). Abid currently is a board member of the Glasgow children’s charity, and in the past has sat on the board of the Riverside museum appeal.

Colin is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, a Straumann Clinical Mentor, and ITI Speaker, and is the Chairman of the UK and Ireland Section of the ITI. He is Director of the Glasgow ITI Study Club.

Colin both places and restores dental implants and provides bone block grafting and sinus augmentation.

Will was appointed as a Consultant and Specialist in Restorative Dentistry in 2017, providing complex treatment across a wide range of areas including endodontics (root treatment), periodontics (gum treatment), implantology and prosthodontics (crowns and bridges).

Jen graduated from the University of Dundee dental school in 2009, and passed her Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons exams in 2011.
She has a special interest in facial aesthetics and skin rejuvenation, and places an emphasis on safe, natural looking results.

Louise has worked in Dentistry since she was 17 years old, first working as a dental nurse. She then went on to study at Glasgow Dental School in 2002 to train as a Dental Hygienist. Louise qualified with distinction in 2004 and then in 2005 received a Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh for achieving the highest exam grades in the U.K. for the dental hygiene exam. She has gained experience working in different fields of dentistry since qualifying and is also trained to teach Dental nurses sitting their nursing exam.

James joined Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in 2017 as a Dental Technician. He has brought with him over 30 years experience in all aspects of crown and bridge, ceramics, cad cam, 3d printing and metal work. James enjoys working in an environment alongside the Clinicians developing restoration designs and solving complex cases.

In his spare time James likes to spend time with his wife, and 2 kids. He also likes to keep fit by running and cycling and enjoys watching football.

Derek qualified as a Dental Technician in 1980. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of crown and bridge, dental implants, cosmetic veneers and prosthetics. He finds that working closely with Clinicians and patients is a large part of our daily routine at Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry, which in turn results in a special finished restoration.

Derek is a lover of cooking and has a passion for everything and anything to do with motorbikes. He is also well known for his singing abilities around the Laboratory.

Dentist with Special Interest in Periodontics

Dr Jacqueline Davidson limits her practice to periodontics, with the main focus being on the treatment and management of patients with periodontal and peri-implant diseases and mucogingival defects, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

She gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Glasgow in 2001, and thereafter spent eight years in general practice in Scotland and Australia where she worked in community and general practice settings. On her return to Scotland 2010, Dr Davidson became a practice owner, where she gained experience in restorative dentistry, oral medicine and oral surgery.

In 2017 she was appointed as Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Specialty Dentist at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School as part of the restorative team, where she taught undergraduate students in the subject. During this time she gained a postgraduate certificate in academic practice, and developed a passion for periodontology.

She has recently been awarded a Masters in Clinical Periodontology with distinction from the University of Central Lancashire. In addition to this, she is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology and the Association for Dental Implantology. 

Dr Davidson has a calm and friendly manner and enjoys taking time to understand her patients and put them at ease. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her son, running and eating out with friends.

With a warm and empathetic approach, Eileen combines her expertise in dentistry and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to support patients struggling with dental anxiety, psychological trauma-related concerns, and chronic facial pain.
