Ahad is a Consultant Craniofacial and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Clinical Lead of the Scottish National Craniofacial Centre. He is dual-qualified, having obtained both his dental degree (BDS) and medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow. He also holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Following completion of his Fellowship, Ahad undertook subspecialty training at the Birmingham Supra-regional Craniofacial Unit before returning to Scotland to join the Scottish National Craniofacial Service, where he was appointed Clinical Lead.

Ahad is a GMC-recognised trainer and has published research in peer-reviewed journals, including the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His research interests include digital surgical planning, patient-specific implants and craniofacial outcomes.

In private practice, Ahad provides assessment and treatment for patients requiring complex dentoalveolar surgery, oral surgery, orthognathic surgery, skin cancer management and implant-related procedures, including implant placement, bone grafting and sinus augmentation.

Outside of work, Ahad enjoys spending time with family, travelling and playing golf.
