Feel confident this Mother’s Day

It’s great being a mum, but no one is ever going to tell you that it’s not extremely tiring at times. You don’t get enough sleep for many years and during the day, you never stop rushing around getting things done. No wonder if all that activity and lack of sleep is starting to show on your face.

And in today’s society, looking worn out has never been so easy to solve, with a variety of facial aesthetics treatments available.

Feel Confident this Mothers DayFacial aesthetics treatments are different from cosmetic surgery or face creams. The various treatments can make a visible difference in just a few days, but the changes don’t last forever. This means that if you don’t like what you see, you just have to wait a few months and the treatment will wear off.

So, why not give facial aesthetics a go this year in time for Mother’s Day? Facial aesthetics could make you feel and look great for the rest of the spring and summer, unlike a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers, which will be all gone in just a week or two.

Here at The Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in Glasgow, we offer facial aesthetics treatments alongside our cosmetic dental treatments.

If you want to try facial aesthetics for the first time, it’s worth coming in for a consultation with our cosmetic doctor Sameena Rashid. Sameena is a general surgeon, who has been working in facial aesthetics since 2010.

As well as Botox to soften lines and dermal fillers to plump out wrinkles and fill in hollows, we also offer various treatments to enhance your skin quality.

We have treatments that use radio waves to stimulate the production of collagen deep in your skin. It will tighten loose and sagging skin and is particularly useful in tightening up loose jowls and the neck.

We also offer TiteFx, a treatment to reshape the contours of your body by tightening them up. It’s great for the abdomen, arms, buttocks, knees and thighs.

Why not come on in and see what we can do to boost your confidence for Mother’s Day?

Treat Yourself This Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming up. This is your day. How are you going to feel? Are you going to feel bursting with youth and exuberance and confidence? Or are you going to feel a bit worn out and old before your time?

Feel Confident this Mothers DayAt The Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in Glasgow, we’d like to suggest that you go for the former, and we have a few great treatments up our sleeves to help you make the most of yourself and to boost your confidence levels for Mother’s Day and the months that follow.

When it comes to facial rejuvenation techniques, we offer 2 firm favourites to smooth away wrinkles and plump out hollows.

Botox

Good old Botox. It’s been around for a long time now and it’s one of the nation’s trusted techniques for reducing those signs of ageing we’d all like to go away, please. Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles to contract. People find it works really well on muscles that are habitually contracted, such as crow’s feet around the eyes, worry lines on the forehead and frown lines between the brows. It takes about a week for the full effects to appear, so if you want to look your best for Mother’s Day, don’t leave getting Botox treatments until the last minute. You can expect your treatment to last up to 4 months though.

Dermal fillers

Brits are also having a love affair with dermal fillers. These are injections of hyaluronic acid, a natural compound produced by the body to lock in moisture in cells. We produce less and less of it as we age, which is one reason why facial skin can start to look papery. We use dermal fillers to plump out hollows and wrinkles and it works really well on the lower third of the face, on the lines around the mouth and also to plump out the lips. You can even use it on the backs of your hands to plump out wrinkles there. Dermal fillers will show up immediately after treatment, but they too can take a few days for their full effects to become apparent.
